How this blog will help

This is a guide by which you would be able to use an alternative to drag and drop functionality of Documentum's web application which does not work on Window 10 machines and still be able to download multiple documents at one-go.

So let's go. Scroll down.

Introduction

Documentum's web application version 6.0 SP1 is compatible for Java version 7 update 45. But the same Java version 7 update 45 is not supported by Windows 10.

As per reference link by Oracle, Windows 10 supports from Java version 7 update 85 and above and due to this the drag and drop functionality of Documentum's web application version 6.0 SP1 gets suspended.

Here is the trick with which you can still download multiple documents at one-go.

Note: On IE version 11.0, Documentum's web application version 6.0 SP1 works only on “Backward Compatibility” and “Drag and Drop” option is not available.

Solution

i. Press Ctrl and select all the files which needed to be exported

ii. Right click and select Export option

iii. Select the directory/folder where you want to export

iv. Click on Ok
